Returning to Judo? Want to try a new sport? Need to get fit, or meet a good bunch of people in a friendly environment?
We are Canterbury Judokwai, where new members are always welcome. If you've never been on a tatami (that's the mat we use), it's a great sport which you can learn a little about on our website, and then hopefully join us for a session — your first one is free. If you would like to take a look before trying, you are welcome to come and just watch.
Where are we?
We meet at:Prince of Wales Youth Club23 Military Road

There are parking spaces in front of and behind the building.

Seniors (16+) | 7.30pm–9.00pm |
How much does it cost?
Each session costs:Junior players: | £4 |
---|---|
Senior players: | £5 |
We think this is great value, and are sure you'll agree once you've given it a try!
To save time, we ask regular members to pay by direct debit — please see the link on the Members page. It's also possible to make one-off payments online via paypal or bank transfer — we'll give you the details on the day.
How do you start?
We have some spare judo suits (judogi) you might be able to borrow, but please wear loose clothing, e.g. a tracksuit and t-shirt. Eventually you will have to buy your own judogi and a BJA licence (see the BJA membership page for current offers).
Take a look at our website, and please get in touch if you want more information. We're happy to help.
